Welcome to the 1st Long Itchington Scout Group Parent Hub — your central place for guidance, support and information to help you and your young person get the most from their Scouting journey with us. Whether they are beginning their adventure in Beavers, progressing through Cubs and Scouts, or taking on new challenges with Explorers, this hub brings together useful information for families across our group.
Here you’ll find links to each section’s dedicated Parent Hub, along with helpful guidance on topics such as uniform, badges, camps, events, permissions, safety, group processes and other important information to support your young person’s Scouting experience.
We believe that great Scouting is built through a partnership between young people, families and volunteers. Our aim is to make sure parents and carers have access to the information they need, while giving young people the confidence, independence and opportunities to enjoy everything Scouting has to offer.
Thank you for being part of our Scouting family — we look forward to sharing many adventures and experiences together! ⚜️
At 1st Long Itchington Scout Group, we use Online Scout Manager (OSM) to help keep families connected and up to date with everything happening in Scouting. We encourage all parents and carers to have an active OSM account and check it regularly.
OSM is your central place for important information, including updates about activities, events and weekly meetings, as well as tracking your young person’s badge progress and achievements throughout their Scouting journey.
Keeping your OSM account up to date helps us communicate effectively and ensures you have access to the information you need to support your young person as they learn new skills, take on challenges and enjoy their Scouting adventure. ⚜️
To celebrate 10 years of 1st Long Itchington Scouts, every young person in the group has been given a special anniversary badge to mark this important milestone. The badge is designed to be sewn onto the back of their necker, where it can be proudly displayed as a lasting reminder of their time as part of our Scout Group.
The badge should be positioned centrally on the back of the necker, as shown in the images below. We recommend sewing the badge securely in place so it can be worn proudly at meetings, events and camps for years to come.
Thank you for helping us celebrate this special occasion and for supporting our young people as they continue their Scouting adventure with 1st Long Itchington Scouts. ⚜️
