Cubs is where young people aged 8 to 10½ years continue their Scouting adventure through fun, friendship and discovery. Each week, Cubs take part in exciting activities that help them build confidence, learn new skills, explore the world around them and have amazing experiences with their friends.
Our programme is full of adventure, creativity and challenges, with activities including outdoor adventures, camping, cooking, crafts, games, teamwork challenges, problem-solving, science, nature, community projects and much more. Every meeting brings something new, giving Cubs the opportunity to try different things, discover their interests and learn skills that will stay with them for life.
At 1st Long Itchington Cub Pack, we believe every young person should have the chance to explore, make mistakes, celebrate achievements and grow in confidence. Whether they’re learning how to put up a tent, cooking their first meal, completing a challenge badge, working together as a Six or discovering a new hobby, Cubs are supported to be curious, brave and ready for adventure.
This Parent Hub contains everything you need to support your Cub throughout their Scouting journey, including meeting information, programme updates, uniform guidance, camp details, permission forms, badge information and key contacts.

Wearing a Cub uniform is a fantastic way to show pride in being part of the Scouting family. Uniform helps Cubs feel a sense of belonging, teamwork and adventure, while the badges they wear tell the story of the skills they have learned, challenges they have completed and experiences they have enjoyed along their Scouting journey.
As Cubs take part in activities, complete challenges and discover new skills, they will earn badges to add to their uniform. Each badge represents an achievement, a new experience or something they have learned along the way. The diagram below shows where each badge should be positioned on the Cub uniform.
