Scouts is the section for young people aged 10½ to 14 years, where adventure, challenge and fun come together every week. As they grow in confidence and independence, Scouts are encouraged to try new things, develop practical skills, work as part of a team and take on exciting challenges both indoors and outdoors.
Our programme is packed with activities including camping, hiking, cooking, pioneering, outdoor skills, games, problem-solving challenges, community projects and much more. No two meetings are the same, and there is always something new to discover.
At 1st Long Itchington Scout Troop, we believe that every young person should have the opportunity to step outside their comfort zone, build resilience, make lasting friendships and gain Skills for Life. Whether they’re lighting their first campfire, leading a team challenge, earning a new badge or exploring somewhere they’ve never been before, every Scout is encouraged to reach their full potential.
This Parent Hub contains everything you need to support your Scout throughout their journey with us, including meeting information, programme updates, uniform guidance, camp details, permission forms, badge information and key contacts.
Thank you for being part of our Scouting family—we’re looking forward to sharing many adventures together! ⚜️
📅 When: Every Wednesday (during term time)

Wearing a Scout uniform is a great way to show pride in being part of the worldwide Scouting movement. Uniform helps create a sense of belonging, equality, and teamwork, while the badges tell the story of each Scout’s achievements, adventures, and progress. As Scouts complete activities, gain new skills, and take on challenges, they’ll earn badges to sew onto their uniform. The diagram below shows where each badge should be positioned. If you’re ever unsure where a badge belongs, don’t hesitate to ask one of our leaders—we’re always happy to help ensure uniforms are looking their best for meetings, events, and camps. ⚜️
